I'm just digging through those just because they're there (perhaps you missed my previous posting whre I said I was being selective). NI did sell a CDrom of the 1st 1000 ensembles but that was years ago.Īs mentioned there are multiple versions of many of the ensembles/instruments as they get updated/modified lotsOh yea, I know. Ignatius wrote:don't forget that there are also really great ensembles NOT in NI's user library.ĭLing all the user library contents would a waste of time imo. PS: At least I am willing to make fun of myself about it all, y'know? That will help me learn things about Max For Live as well! Ableton Live is also another one I am beginning to collect creation for as I have just jumped in to the Live 9 culture. I'm hoping to learn the same way about Reaktor. And by the way, I have learned SO MUCH about how to use my Nords by dissecting the patches. Like I did the Nord patches, I did about 100 a night just before I shut down my computer. Is there a way to bulk download the Reaktor library? If not I'll just do it manually a little at a time. it's just a little space on my hard drive. It hurts no one, it is 100% free, it adds nothing to any type of space issues in my home (it's not like I have an entire bedroom devoted to a comic book collection, or like the Disney memorabilia that a friend of mine has amassed that takes up an entire room, to include glass cases he buys from stores that are being remodelled). So let's all take a breath, and put my silly little patch collection into proper context. Many of them have very serious credit card problems, and those types of people are a part of the economic problems Americans have, almost as a lifestyle! Hey, at least I'm not one of those people that spends money that isn't mine like it was play money! I see tons of "collectors" here in Muffwuggies that spend A LOT of money on GAS. I also collect concert ticket stubs from shows I've attended, and guitar picks that I snagged at those shows. Dalmer's collection was something to concern yourself over, my collection of classic synth patches is just another part of appreciating some certain synths. There's far worse things I could be collecting. You wouldn't question me if I posted a picture of a $50k wall of modular that I probably don't use 20% of, right? It's just a collection, like any other collection. There are some very creative ones out there! Any small little image roughly the size of an average avatar. Actually they're not just avatars, they're small gifs, avatars, logos, emoticons, and so on. Every time I see an interesting one, no matter what forum I happen to be in, I right click that sucka and hit "save picture as", and in the avatar folder it goes! Don't worry Digital Steve, you have not been victimized. Does there have to be any more reason than that? It doesn't have to have a reason, does it? I mean, it's FREE, it costs me NO MONEY, it's something I like to do. It's the same reason any of us do anything.
